MENDADAK DJ (“MDJ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website mdj.my.id. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, unlock a free music download, join our mailing list, or interact with our release pages.

Information We Collect

When you use an MDJ download gate, we may collect the following information:

• Your email address.

• Your Instagram username, when voluntarily provided.

• Your newsletter preference.

• The release or file you requested.

• Actions taken during the download process, such as opening the gate, clicking the Instagram button, clicking the SoundCloud button, submitting the form, and opening the download link.

• Technical information such as the date and time, browser type, device category, referring website, campaign parameters, and an anonymous visitor or session identifier.

• An IP address may be processed temporarily for security, fraud prevention, and unique-visitor measurement. Where reasonably possible, it will be stored only in an anonymized or hashed form.

Providing an Instagram username is optional unless clearly stated otherwise. We never ask for your Instagram or SoundCloud password.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide access to the requested download.

• Send a download-access email when applicable.

• Measure the performance of MDJ releases and promotional campaigns.

• Prevent spam, automated abuse, and repeated misuse of download links.

• Understand which releases, traffic sources, and devices generate the most engagement.

Completing a download gate does not allow us to verify whether you actually followed MDJ on Instagram or supported a track on SoundCloud. These actions operate as a promotional soft gate.

Instagram and SoundCloud

Buttons leading to Instagram or SoundCloud open third-party websites or applications. Your activity on those services is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

MDJ records that a button was clicked, but does not receive your Instagram or SoundCloud password and does not automatically verify your follow, like, repost, or other activity.

Google Drive Downloads

After successfully completing a download gate, you may be redirected through a temporary MDJ access link to a Google Drive folder containing available file formats, such as MP3 or WAV.

Google Drive is operated by Google and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms. MDJ can record that the download-folder link was opened, but cannot guarantee or confirm that a file was completely downloaded after you leave the MDJ website.

Email Marketing

Consent to receive marketing email is optional and separate from consent required to process a download.

When you join the MDJ mailing list, you may receive music releases, event news, free downloads, and related promotional messages. You may unsubscribe at any time through the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us.

Declining marketing email will not prevent you from completing an otherwise eligible download.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the website, including website hosting, email delivery, security, analytics, and file-hosting services. These providers may only process information for the services they provide.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the security of the website, or to investigate abuse.

• Download-gate and email-access records: up to 12 months.

• Aggregated or anonymized analytics: up to 24 months.

• Technical security logs: up to 90 days.

• Mailing-list information: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

• Temporary download tokens: normally up to 30 minutes.

Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute, investigate abuse, comply with a legal obligation, or protect legitimate rights.

Cookies and Local Storage

The website may use cookies or browser storage to maintain a session, remember whether download steps were completed, measure unique visitors, prevent repeated abuse, and improve website performance.

Blocking essential cookies or browser storage may prevent the download gate from working correctly.
